My Wedding Day 2003

I have decided to create this website to educate others on childhood stroke.   It's important that others know of our story and stories like ours.

A little about me:

I was born in raised in Westport, CT and moved to Florida in 8th grade.  I graduated highschool in 1993 and graduated college in 2004 with degrees in Forensic Science and Crime Scene Technology.  Currently I am a stay at home Mom.  My husband supports the decision to stay at home with our children.  We keep a very busy schedule...always having therapy, playgroup and school Monday through Friday.  I enjoy being a Mother and a Wife very much.  My children bring me so much happiness that I'm smiling just thinking about the funny things they do.

In February 2011, Evan had a seizure that changed everything as we knew it.  He is not the same little boy and I miss him so much.  I miss everything about him.  I'm am extremely grateful to still have him, to still be able to see his beautiful face every day and to hug and kiss him.  But there isn't more of his infectious laughter or chasing him in the backyard.  There is no more school or special outings with BOTH of my children.  I miss that so much.  I would give anything to have Evan back the way he was.  I would chew my own leg off to see my son run into my arms and kiss me just like he used to.
